Founded in Ottawa in 2026 by Sean Donohue, whose career spans seven years teaching and in information technology as a technical writer, and over twenty years in the Canadian federal public service, The Learning Grail brings unmatched depth to every learning solution.

The Story Behind the Grail
The Learning Grail was born from a simple conviction: that great learning is the most valuable thing an organization can invest in, and it deserves to be pursued with the same dedication a knight brings to the quest.
Founder Sean Donohue brings a uniquely rich background to learning design, beginning his career as a teacher, then spending several years as an IT professional, before dedicating over 20 years to the Canadian federal public service, designing and delivering learning solutions for some of Canada's most important institutions. In May 2026, he retired from public service and founded The Learning Grail to bring that expertise to organizations across Canada.
The name is a nod to Monty Python's Holy Grail, because good learning, like the Grail itself, is worth seeking, worth striving for, and absolutely worth finding.
